«Roses, Dots, Stripes» – workshops for schoolchildren of all age groups
How are patterns created? And how does a fabric design get onto a dress? Our search for fabric patterns at the «Soie pirate» exhibition promises to turn up many a dream material. A printing table will show the various stages involved in screen printing. And in the studio, children will have a chance to create their very own fabric design and to try out simple printing methods. The workshop will be adapted to the age group. Mornings. Duration: 2 hours. Contribution to cost of materials CHF 50.–

«The World of Abraham Ltd. of Zurich» – guided tours for parties of secondary-school children
The following themes will be covered: the textile archive, fabric patterns and motifs, Zurich’s silk industry, printing methods, fashion, and fashion photography.
